What is the Personal Data Protection Law?
Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The law regarding the protection of such data processed through various methods and processes became effective with Law No. 6698, which entered into force on April 7, 2016. The purpose of the Personal Data Protection Law is to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals, especially the right to privacy, during the processing of personal data, and to regulate the obligations, procedures, and principles that natural and legal persons processing personal data must follow.
We prioritize ensuring that the personal data of employees, job applicants, shareholders, service providers, visitors, and other third parties are processed in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye, international agreements, the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“Law”), and other applicable legislation, while enabling data subjects to effectively exercise their rights.
Activities related to the retention and destruction of personal data are carried out in accordance with the Policy prepared by SOMA KİMYA for this purpose.
